As-Salaamu 'Alaykum
Well my new phone finally arrived today, I wasn't really excited or anything as I thought I would've been. It's pretty cool Alhumdulillah a LG CU400. I'm just playing around with it and the settings, this too will probably end up in my draw for months on end and I'll be facing the wrath of people who hold this habit against me of turning off my phone and not using it. Talking's not a habit nor a hobby... I'm more of a typer. Also, my mom and sis are nazarfying my phone. My sis got a sony ericson (sp?) and my mom got a Nokia...and both of them like my phone better. Alhumdulillah, I told my mom she could have it though :D
I'm very much at unease these days because unfortunately there wont be a Dawah Dinner. Alhumdulillah we were able to host one for the past two year and it was turning into an annual event and it was just amazing Subhanallah. We were able to see the tremendous improvement last year compared to the year before and I'm sure if we could've pulled it off this year then it would've been even better Insha'Allah. But it's not likely because everyone (main organizers) are really busy with their studies and other activities. I tried to do everything I could to make it seem like they'd barely have any tasks and that I'd take care of the major stuff as in location, speakers, advertisement, and food... and they'd just have to deal with minor things, but they weren't willing to go through with it. I don't blame them, they're under a lot of pressure and what not this year and need to drown all their focus in their studies. Khair Insha'Allah. I hope we can resume it as an annual event next year. I like change, I'm flexible... but I also like GOOD things to go on for quite sometime, but they always seem to end at one point or another and even that too early. QadrAllah so Alhumdulillah.
I was able to go to Jummah and pray Salatul Janazah as well. When I got there I found out there was another Janazah as well. There were well over 60 women there if I'm not wrong. Thoughts and emotions always arise on such days and occassions and also thoughts on the other recent death, but I don't think I can write them up. They're better kept in the mind, writing sometimes distorts how you perceive those thoughts and understand them yourself... sometimes I guess it's alright to share them with someone who understand you enough to understand how you feel and view those thoughts.
In anticipation of June Insha'Allah.
