Another Dimension

Another Dimension

I yearn my return, to stand before that blessed gate
Where I can smell the blessings raining to this very date
I can vividly recall that night; driving past an unknown place
It was odd, my heart recognized it immediately,
sending my eyes the same feeling of grace
I close my eyes, blocking out the rest of the world
I hear my name being called to those very steps
Where I sat in the breeze of the rising sun, then it unfurled
I was taken back into another realm, a whole other dimension
Not even a hit could distract me in this trance,
I began walking in one direction

I can vividly recall that afternoon;
with the s
un beaming on the crowd
The moment we put the world aside,
the shade dawned upon us as a shroud

The moment then came, where we returned
to the world and stepped into the light

I can't help but utter Subhanallah
when I recall this blessed sight

I can vividly recall that morning;
I sat with a book in hand

I sat on the steps and gazed through the dark sky
To see the birds soaring, and not a
trace of
them remained on land

I tried to drain all my focus into the text,
but could not help but gaze ahead

To every direction of people and faces,
above all from among the most
blessed that is not only said

But thought and believed in hundreds
of hearts in lands far and wide

Who anticipate their return to a place
where mercy comes in a flooding tide

I can vividly recall my stroll around the premisis,
even through the minor pain

I could not sit, yearning to walk
as much as my strength allowed

To immerse myself in a matter
and place far from mundane

I can vividly recall the sensation of the
most blessed water running through my veins

With the love running through my blood,
in this flood I must've drowned

Because I'm in another world now,
far from this vivid trance

I'm standing at the edge and waiting
to jump in
at any given chance
It'll mark your heart, mind, body and soul...
all it takes is one glance

His city has become a essential
part of me, it is true

Not one could deny, not a soul
would take the chance if they knew

Madinah Al Munawwarah
will steal your heart, no matter who you are

From the prophet to the greatest
scholars whom have all walked this path

Prostrated to Al-Rahman in tears,
begging pardon from His wrath

Assalaatu 'Alan Nabi, a chance
to send blessings upon thee

And earnestly pray to be gathered
In his presence under the shade,

Eventually unwinding into the world,
holding
onto precious memories; never to let them fade
