Revive

This picture was taken by a brother I know, I think it was taken about 3 or some years ago when he visited Jerusalem. His account brought me to tears, the vivid description and expressing of his internal love toward this sight was truely inspirational.

I wrote this about 2 years ago when I first began to experiment with poetry and rhyming so it doesn't flow all that well or anything, but I was happy with it at the time.

Revive

Witness the insanity around you
The truth remains hidden, passed due
Defend your right
Have a life time to dwell, but no truth left insight
Innocence witnessing, participating
See the lack of morality
Bulldozing and firing down the pure child
Is this really humanity?
Locked behind doors, not fearing death
Facing death - Intifada
Standing infront of the world giving Dawah
Waiting for the fulfillment of the wa'da (promise)
Shall they wait for their brothers and sisters to recieve?
No longer stopping to grieve
Standing in the light of freedom in Tel Aviv

The Sun will bounce off the dome
They wont dare to compare it to Rome
Reflecting off more souls than one can handle
Reality will be struck, death is closer than the strap of ur sandle
The Dome of the Rock will be ours and recalled by its true name
the place of the truth
and those who wish to kill, left under a monolith
Don't be the one with mind of filth
Put your head down in humility
Raise your Hands and Praise your Lord for the comming victory (Inshallah)
Stand together to revive
not to escape death and survive
Allahu Akbar

yep... actually I made that mistake when I wrote it... cuz I didn't know the difference then. I honestly thought I had corrected it, but I just realised I hadn't. 2 people corrected me as well
