Continuation of the bottom Post (MIST II)

Here's my poem and the graphics version which I also submitted - It's better when recited

Reminiscent Journey

Lend me a moment of your time
May I tell you a story of today's world of crime?
Today, the lies are rewarded
While the truth remains imprisoned
Today, people's lands and homes are snatched
Along with any dreams they ever envisioned
Today, the past comes to the present
Following us to the future

It didn't begin today, at first anyone lacking
Blonde hair blue eyes was just a mere creature
Thousands massacred in this absurd battle
Of the religions and races
Until it reached a stage of the crusades,
Fast forwarding along just a few paces
Finally, they thought victory's reached its final destination
Salahuddin's brilliant plan of setting the fire,
Regaining their homes out of the state of devastation
It sparked the beginning of a whole new world
A golden era, soon fading to witness over 34 years of occupation
Far from our splendid past
Once was our reign, Illuminating
From the heavens to the earth
Such radiance, too good to last
The 19th century, the pride of every Muslim’s identity
Now remains a memory marked as pages of history

The today we know of, then remained as a mystery
Within a decade, we'll have made history
The past building the present, the present building the future
The clocks spinning insanely forward
Year after year an era of brutal torture
The creation enslaved to the creation
Injustice spreading as an epidemic
Taking us back in time before the migration
The persecution of our beloved and his companions
Aiding us today with hope of justified victory

Pales of water putting out one flame at a time
To reconstruct from ashes in a realm
Distant from limitless crime
Scattered images throughout the world
Poverty, rape, murder, misguidance,
injustice, imprisonment
Our own misled hearts and lives

The puzzle remains incomplete
without the essential pieces
A branchless tree is no home for leaves
My eyes see the missing piece
Yet my hands refuse to grasp it
Consciousness and oxygen both begin to decrease
Dropping onto two knees with little hope
Forehead resting upon dirt,
Passion and wisdom is surely to increase

A lie to oneself to walk into disbelief
To drown would be suicide, far from relief
Flames consuming water without a visible end
It's not a mirage, rather limitations of where evils transcend

With the night comes day
Hearts turning by His command rapidly
Blasphemous would it be to deny and disobey
The past builds the hope of today
In happiness and dismay
A heart of tranquility, tomorrow maybe one of sorrow
Great minds hold the key of the past
Scholars of yesterday, living on 'til tomorrow
Ink seeping through pages
leaving its mark for generations
A statement, for the youth their identity, a declaration

Abu Bakr, Omar, Uthman, and Ali
The entrusted Caliphs
Not those who fear what they see and flee
Their way of life, their wisdom and love
An example from the most beloved
The peace and blessings of Allah be upon thee
For years to come Our today makes their tomorrow
Grasp the deen, submit to The Unseen
In the end we’ve got a goal to reach
Seeds will be planted, and buds will bloom
We leave to them, more precious than any heirloom
With every bone in my body as a witness
It lies in the heart, mind, and soul
Lay at rest, at the borders of success
Miles and miles from doom
